Definitely Dahlia Birthday Card

  Hello, I’m back from a short weekend getaway and feeling guilty about abandoning my blog for a few days. The flip side of it is that I got to spend a few days with my childhood friend Missy Reynolds of 28 years! She is the one that sucked me into the paper crafting world and I hate to admit it took two years for her to convince me to start scrapbooking and eventually card making. She also coerced me into signing up for my first Stampin’ Up! club. Is that not insane? She ask me all the time how she has been paper crafting longer than me and I own more stuff. I guess I hit the ground running!

I’m pretty new to the challenge scene but my card today was created for a couple of different challenges. The first is the  TGIF Challenge. That particular challenge simply required you to make a birthday themed card.

 
The next challenge is the Stampin Royalty Challenge #295. This was a color challenge that required you to use Crumbcake, Lost Lagoon and Whisper White.

Good morning everyone! I hope this Labor Day finds you relaxing some where peaceful and not working. We will be headed out to the river in a little while to make some memories with the kids but first I wanted to show you this CAS card. It came together in less than ten minutes and satisfied my need to make something this morning. I used the Crafty boot challenges sketch this morning and already had a color combo in my head. The color combo was Soft Suede, Crumb Cake and Soft Sky. I hope you enjoy this quick simple card as much as I do. It seemed like such a soft fall color combo.
