Graduation Centerpieces

Hello everyone! I hope you are enjoying this long Memorial Day weekend just be sure to take a few minutes to reflect on why we celebrate this holiday.

I’m looking forward to a nice family BBQ tomorrow to wrap up the weekend but I wanted to share with you some cute little graduation centerpieces I made for a dear friend. I love it when I can use my papercrafting supplies for things other than scrapbooks and cards! I used the Stampin’ Up top note and rosette bigz dies. I love those two. I have used them for so many occasions and have hated to see them retired. My customers still ask about them.

used the fringe scissors to make the puffy little black pom poms. I also used the star framelits on the “congrats” pick. This is just another way your craft supplies can pull double duty. Now just a quick picture of the proud momma and graduate.

This lady never ceases to amaze me. She is one of the best friends you could ever ask for. This is her oldest son graduating but she had 2 others she took in and selflessly made her own too. Their lives have been even brighter because of the love of her amazing family. Did I mention the reason I scrapbook is because of her? It took a year or so of prodding on her part but it worked! Missy your a FABULOUS friend!

Going Places with Going Global

Good morning! It’s going to be a beautiful day here in central Arkansas. I just came in from the vegetable garden and it makes my heart sing with joy when I walk out early in the morning and see all the big beautiful yellow squash and cucumber flowers. Something about knowing soon you will have fruit for your labor. Well since I blog about paper crafts and not gardening I guess it’s time to move on. No chasing rabbits this morning!

The card I am showcasing this morning is a nice distressed masculine Fathers Day card using the Going places designer series paper by Stampin’ Up along with the Going Global stamp set. Both of these products are retiring the end of this month so if you like what you see now is the time to snatch it up. This was a fun little multi later card. I distressed the edges and used the Big Dipper stamp on the Crumbcake background. I stamped the compass twice and popped up the top layer using a dimensional and used a basic pearl for the center. I wrapped the top two layers with bakers twine and tied it in a bow and placed the sentiment off center. Maybe I should have centered it. Hopefully my husband will love it and that makes it all worth it right?

Six Sided Sampler Sweet Friend

Hello! How are my crafty friends today? I’m doing fabulous and enjoying the first few days of summer break with my children. I wanted to show you a card today that I featured in my last Stampin’ Up class that was the overall favorite of that class. It features the Six Sided Sampler set from Stampin’ Up and uses a color pallete of slate, whisper white and daffodil delight. This is such a wonderful color combo that feels so fresh and modern. We also used the hexagon punch to complete our handmade card. I love the thick whisper white cardstock. Unfortunately both the hexagon punch and the Six Sided Sampler stamp set are retiring the end of this month so if you are interested you better snag them now! You won’t regret it.

Happy Birthday Everyone!!!

Good evening! I wanted to share a festive card I made using the Happy Birthday Everyone hostess stamp set by Stampin up. This lovely stamp is retiring the end of this month and I hate to see it go. It was my absolute favorite hostess stamp set.  This colorful card uses Tempting Tuquoise, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral. This was a CAS or clean and simple card and makes great use of fringe scissors if you have them. You can do it with just plain old scissors if need be. Go ahead and shout Ole’ and make up a few of these colorful birthday cards
