It’s the best time of the year! It’s time to put on your comfy clothes and a pot of soup and craft the day away. The chilly weather always make me want to stay inside and craft and this winter in no different. Maybe it’s because I fell in love with this new stamp set by Stampin’ Up. It just has that traditional Christmas vibe that never goes out of style. This will be the stamp set that you just have to hold onto because you know you WILL use it again.
I love the texture of the stamped images and the dry embossed holly. I can’t wait to send these out to friends and family near and far. This year I’ll remember to sign them all! Last year I sent a handmade card to an aunt in Wisconsin and didn’t sign it. She knew it was from me because I’m the only one that sends her handmade cards.
This fabulous new stamp set by Stampin’ Up called “Good Tidings” has me singing Christmas carols. How can you not get into the Christmas spirit while singing and stamping your Christmas cards?
This card has a homey, vintage traditional feel that is still wonderful today. It evokes that home for the holidays feeling.
The card base is Wild Wasabi and I used Garden Green, Wild Wasabi, Real Red and Blushing Bride to stamp the holly and berries. The Blushing Bride and Real Red combo really makes the berries pop.
I have really fallen in love with this stamp so I’m sure you’ll see it again! Merry Christmas everyone!
Cool Treats by Stampin’ Up
Oh the sweet taste of spring! A red plump juicy berry dripping with sweetness. The vivid cap in that bright green that is just begging you to pick it up and place it in your mouth. Should I even dare say dip it in chocolate? Or maybe place it on some shortcake with lots of homemade whipping cream. I love it when strawberries start popping up everywhere. It’s the signal that spring has sprung.

Today I wanted to showcase a trio of simple cards in a classic but fun color combo. As a child growing up I loved the Strawberry Shortcake dolls and toys. Think of that lovely combination just bursting with goodness. Red and pink with a little green. I went with Real Red and Melon Mambo for this set of cards and used the Cool Treats stamp set to come up with these goodies. I adore the new stitched framelits. They really dress up your die cuts and add some quick texture. What a fun card for that special sweetie in your life. Thank you for sharing a little bit of this spring day with me as I sip on my strawberry lemonade.
Today’s project is brought to you in honor of my younger sister Dawn. She is fabulous the best you can ask for. She’s always there when you need her and is one of the most giving ladies I know. I was so excited about the way this project turned out that I was going to take it over to her at 8 o’clock this morning. Not such a great idea. She loves to sleep in so I decided to wait a while.
To make today’s quick project I used the new beautiful you stamps from Stampin’ Up. I love the sentiments in this set. They are just perfect for scrapbook pages or cards and even home decor. The colors I used to match her living room were Hello Honey and Pear Pizazz. I stamped the images with Stazon black ink and then water colored the images with my Aqua Painter. The possibilities are endless! Just think of the possibilities using this set. This frame literally took less than 5 minutes to put together and is a great thoughtful gift.
Ok I know I’m always a day late and a dollar short but my stamp club is creating a Christmas layout tonight using the fabulous Cookie Cutter Christmas from Stampin’ Up. It’s time to finally get those pictures scrapped! I mean you’ve developed them right? No? Well today’s the day! Hop to it.
I used a palette of early espresso, real red and crumb cake along with some designer series paper. This layout uses a bakers dozen of gingerbread men stamped in crumb cake on whisper white and embellished with real red glimmer paper and a few rhinestones. I think they are just adorable! Makes me think of baking with my children. The photo mats are all backed with early espresso to make them pop. If you have any questions feel free to ask and if you are in central Arkansas and would like to take a class sometime let me know.
