Cool Treats by Stampin’ Up
Oh the sweet taste of spring! A red plump juicy berry dripping with sweetness. The vivid cap in that bright green that is just begging you to pick it up and place it in your mouth. Should I even dare say dip it in chocolate? Or maybe place it on some shortcake with lots of homemade whipping cream. I love it when strawberries start popping up everywhere. It’s the signal that spring has sprung.
Cool Treats by Stampin’ Up
Today I wanted to showcase a trio of simple cards in a classic but fun color combo. As a child growing up I loved the Strawberry Shortcake dolls and toys. Think of that lovely combination just bursting with goodness. Red and pink with a little green. I went with Real Red and Melon Mambo for this set of cards and used the Cool Treats stamp set to come up with these goodies. I adore the new stitched framelits. They really dress up your die cuts and add some quick texture. What a fun card for that special sweetie in your life. Thank you for sharing a little bit of this spring day with me as I sip on my strawberry lemonade.
Stylized Happy Birthday
Good morning! It’s a quiet unseasonably cool morning here in central Arkansas and I’m enjoying it. We had a beautiful thunderstorm last night complete with a majestic lightening display. No storm damage so all is well! This morning I wanted to share a simple birthday card using the new Stylized Birthday stamp and the Flourish thinlets from Stampin’ Up. It didn’t take any time to throw this quick card together and I really like the color combo of Night of Navy and Tangelo Twist. It has a nice modern feel. I used gold embossing powder for the sentiment and love the added texture. I also used the fine tip glue pen to adhere the die cut to the card top. It’s fantastic for all those intricate cuts.
I challenge you to make something crafty today! Enjoy your friends and family and come back here to post what you made! I would love to see and hear from you. So how will you spend your weekend?
Good evening! I wanted to share a festive card I made using the Happy Birthday Everyone hostess stamp set by Stampin up. This lovely stamp is retiring the end of this month and I hate to see it go. It was my absolute favorite hostess stamp set. This colorful card uses Tempting Tuquoise, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral. This was a CAS or clean and simple card and makes great use of fringe scissors if you have them. You can do it with just plain old scissors if need be. Go ahead and shout Ole’ and make up a few of these colorful birthday cards
Happy Birthday Everyone by Stampin’ Up
Hello, I’m back from a short weekend getaway and feeling guilty about abandoning my blog for a few days. The flip side of it is that I got to spend a few days with my childhood friend Missy Reynolds of 28 years! She is the one that sucked me into the paper crafting world and I hate to admit it took two years for her to convince me to start scrapbooking and eventually card making. She also coerced me into signing up for my first Stampin’ Up! club. Is that not insane? She ask me all the time how she has been paper crafting longer than me and I own more stuff. I guess I hit the ground running!
I’m pretty new to the challenge scene but my card today was created for a couple of different challenges. The first is the TGIF Challenge. That particular challenge simply required you to make a birthday themed card.
The next challenge is the Stampin Royalty Challenge #295. This was a color challenge that required you to use Crumbcake, Lost Lagoon and Whisper White.
I hope you enjoyed the card I presented today. Feel free to stop by and chat. I love visitors!
Good afternoon. Sorry I’m a little bit late posting today. Here in Central Arkansas we are enjoying beautiful sunny days that just go perfect wth this card.
It has very clean lines with a modern feel and I really like it. The Daffodil Delight and Whisper White are so bright and crisp. I did pop up the white embossed piece. Remember, no naked envelopes allowed! Stamp a little something on there.
Hope you enjoyed this quick and easy card.
Good morning! It’s Monday and that means back to work and school for my family after an adventerous weekend. I dread going back to the ho hum after a relaxing weekend but don’t we all?
Today’s card is a belated birthday card from the sheltering tree stamp set. I love the versatility of this set because you can use it for so many things. Cards, scrapbook layouts and even wall art if you are feeling adventerous. I try to get my cards out on time but this one will be late. Better late than never right?
My card today is a clean and simple or CAS card. I used the sketch from Freshly made sketches as the inspiration for this card. I think it would work great for a child’s birthday or even a teen boy. I stayed pretty close to the inspiration piece as you can tell. This is only my second challenge and the first with Freshly Made but I’m looking forward to many more.
I used a whisper white card base with a whisper white mat. I inked the edges with tangerine tango and I also stamped with Midnight Muse. The stamps I used all came from the Stampin’ Up Be a Star stamp set. I love the stamp sets that have matching framelits or punches. Cutting the stars with the framelits is so quick and easy.
On a personal note I hope everyone is getting a lot accomplished this weekend. Our family worked in the yard all day yesterday and got a lot done. I’m so lucky to have some strong teenage boys! They were a huge help. I got to spend a little bit of time at my craft table and that always makes for a good day. Today I am off to visit my dads new church for their friends and family day. Have a great day and hope to see you tomorrow.
