Best Catch!!!

Hello everyone! It’s Renee here from StampinwithReneeTorres@wordpress.com. I am loving the beautiful spring weather here in central Arkansas and I had a few moments to sit down and create today and this is what I came up with.

This coordinating stamp and die set from Stampin up is just perfect for our area. We are a trout fishing destination on the Little Red River. The stamp set is called “Best Catch” and comes in the new cling stamps. I absolutely adore them. They cling to your stamp blocks like no others now. You don’t have to worry about them falling off. The coordinating dies are called “Catch of the Day”. I also used the net die from “Under the Sea”.

I colored the images in with my Stampin’ Write markers and then die cut the images. The sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso and the fishing fly was stamped in Crumb Cake. I stamped the card base in Crumb Cake using the “Crackle Paint” background stamp. The white mat was embossed using the “Subtle” embossing folder. It’s just enough texture. I colored the cat tails with an Early Espresso market and sponged the net and greenery with old olive and crumb cake.

I left the inside of the card blank because I’m not sure if I’m going to use this as a Father’s Day card or a Birthday card. I stamped the fly fisherman in Crumb Cake. I think any of the men in my life would enjoy this card. It’s perfect for your husband, father, son or nephew and the list just goes on. What do you think? What are you creating today? I would love to see.

Happy Birthday Gorgeous!!!

Beautiful You!

Today’s project is brought to you in honor of my younger sister Dawn.  She is fabulous the best you can ask for. She’s always there when you need her and is one of the most giving ladies I know. I was so excited about the way this project turned out that I was going to take it over to her at 8 o’clock this morning. Not such a great idea. She loves to sleep in so I decided to wait a while.

To make today’s quick project I used the new beautiful you stamps from Stampin’ Up. I love the sentiments in this set. They are just perfect for scrapbook pages or cards and even home decor. The colors I used to match her living room were Hello Honey and Pear Pizazz. I stamped the images with Stazon black ink and then water colored the images with my Aqua Painter. The possibilities are endless! Just think of the possibilities using this set. This frame literally took less than 5 minutes to put together and is a great thoughtful gift.

Flourish Thinlets with Stylized Birthday Card

Stylized Happy Birthday

Good morning! It’s a quiet unseasonably cool morning here in central Arkansas and I’m enjoying it. We had a beautiful thunderstorm last night complete with a majestic lightening display. No storm damage so all is well! This morning I wanted to share a simple birthday card using the new Stylized Birthday stamp and the Flourish thinlets from Stampin’ Up. It didn’t take any time to throw this quick card together and I really like the color combo of Night of Navy and Tangelo Twist. It has a nice modern feel. I used gold embossing powder for the sentiment and love the added texture. I also used the fine tip glue pen to adhere the die cut to the card top. It’s fantastic for all those intricate cuts.

I challenge you to make something crafty today! Enjoy your friends and family and come back here to post what you made! I would love to see and hear from you. So how will you spend your weekend?

Happy Birthday Everyone!!!

Good evening! I wanted to share a festive card I made using the Happy Birthday Everyone hostess stamp set by Stampin up. This lovely stamp is retiring the end of this month and I hate to see it go. It was my absolute favorite hostess stamp set.  This colorful card uses Tempting Tuquoise, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral. This was a CAS or clean and simple card and makes great use of fringe scissors if you have them. You can do it with just plain old scissors if need be. Go ahead and shout Ole’ and make up a few of these colorful birthday cards

Crazy About You Birthday

Good afternoon. Sorry I’m a little bit late posting today. Here in Central Arkansas we are enjoying beautiful sunny days that just go perfect wth this card.

It has very clean lines with a modern feel and I really like it. The Daffodil Delight and Whisper White are so bright and crisp. I did pop up the white embossed piece. Remember, no naked envelopes allowed! Stamp a little something on there.

Hope you enjoyed this quick and easy card.
