Good morning everyone! I love the crisp cool mornings we have been enjoying here in central Arkansas, but I have to admit I long for snow. We don’t recieve much of the fluffy white stuff here in the south. It is quite comical when we do though. Sometimes after a snow or ice storm it’s interesting to just look out the window and watch all the drivers that venture out. I love the chilly weather when I can wear thick socks and comfy scarves and put a crock pot of soup on to be ready for supper. What about you?

Do you ever get into a pattern where you want to work with certain colors, stamps or techniques? Right now apparently I’m stuck on box cards. As I said in the previous post I had never made one before but now that I have they are so fun and EASY! Did I mention they are EASY? I guess I stayed away from them thinking they would be complicated but amazingly enough they are quite simple. After I made the penguin card I kept thinking the Stampin Up Flurry of Wishes would be perfect for a festive box card for the holidays. I’m sure the recipient would love to receive such a beautiful card to display through the holidays. My children can’t seem to keep their hands off them.

The color combo I chose was Pool Party and Tip Top Taupe. Initially I was planning to use Soft Suede but liked the lighter feel of the Tip Top Taupe. I added a few rhinestones to give the card a bit of glitz. The card folds completely flat and fits in a regular a2 envelope. What could be better than that?
